Meet Jihad (aka Gianni)

Jihad came to me looking for professional dating profile photos after his divorce. Less than two years later, I was photographing his wedding at the Seattle courthouse.

This is the kind of dating profile transformation I live for: not just better matches — but real life changes.

Brand new to online dating

Entering the dating pool for the first time in more than a decade, Jihad confessed he wasn't sure he would ever find love again. 

He wanted to give dating apps a try but came up totally empty-handed when it came time to choose photos for his dating profile. That's when he called me.

Jihad's Dating Photoshoot

The Plan:

Capture some of Jihad's day-to-day, inviting women to take a peek into his world.   We shot Jihad's dating profile photos in and around his home in Belltown.

Jihad launched his new Bumble profile in May...

And immediately got gobs of attention. Women were LOVING his photos!
He texted me a couple weeks later 🥹:
A message expressing gratitude for someones brilliance and sincerity, saying it helped the sender meet new people and feel again, ending with a smiling emoji.

In June, Jihad met Anastasia

I got this message from Jihad on New Years

Fast forward to September and now Jihad is getting married; he wants to know if I'll photograph their wedding (omg YES!).

On a warm October afternoon, Jihad and Anastasia exchanged vows at the Seattle municipal courthouse, surrounded by their closest family and friends. 

Afterward, I went with them to the Fairmont Olympic Hotel for portraits before their celebration dinner.
